Quick overview of the Canon G10 14 MP compact digital camera. Also shown is the Canon 580EX II flash unit attached to the G10's accessory hotshoe along with the ST-E2 infrared transmitter demonstration. Very good results as long as you stay under ISO 400. Solid construction with good ergonomics. Ability to use Canon flash units is a huge plus. E-TTL integrated with external off shoe flashes. Ability to use wireless TTL via STE2 is another huge plus. Wish it had an articulated LCD screen like some of the earlier G series cameras. Included wireless remote and time lapse recording would have been another nice feature Canon did not have to omit from this model. An F 2.0 lens that goes down to 24mm to 400mm would have made this a killer camera. This and most videos posted taken with Canon S3IS. Recently I just got the Canon EOS Rebel T2i, also known as the 550D or Kiss X4 overseas. I actually ordered the Kiss X4 because it's cheaper, but the camera is the same as the T2i. This camera is a photography camera (DSLR) that can record HD video. It just just blows my HV30 away. The footage that comes out of this this looks just like film, except it costs way less and can fit in the palm of my hand. Shooting with this camera is more challenging than with a video camera, but I still recommend it. The quality is just as good as the Canon 7D or 60D for way cheaper. I highly recommend this camera to filmmakers everywhere! WEBSITE: www.benhughesstudios.com FACEBOOK facebook.com I used the 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 kit lens. Shot in 1080p 24p for most shots, and 720p 60p for slow motion. I accidental set the ISO to 1600 in the city and forest shots. Aperture was wide open for all shots. All audio came from the built in t2i microphone, which ain't too bad aside from the AGC. The MiniDV Stabilizer was used for the stabilization later in the video, which is a great product that you can get from balvanzenterprises.com Edited in Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 Intro made in After Effects CS3 (C) 2010, Ben Hughes Studios, Inc.

L'esposizione automatica AE lavora molto bene nella maggioranza delle situazioni anche se segnaliamo qualche problema in circostanze di luce diretta solare molto intensa, dove la 550D mostra la tendenza alla sovraesposizione e perdita di dettaglio nelle alte luci. Per quanto sia piuttosto semplice procedere ad una leggera correzione dell'esposizione in questi casi sottoesponendo leggermente, restiamo comunque un tantino sorpresi da questo genere di comportamento ...
